Sony’s Thoughts: Be Faithful
“Well, I’m tired and so weary but I must go along ’til the Lord comes and calls me away.”
How often do you feel like that, especially after a long day of work when your body aches and your mind is tired? I must admit that this song comes to mind a lot for me. At the same time, as I begin to say “Even so, come, Lord Jesus,” I’m reminded of the tasks God has given me on this earth. He is not finished with me, so the weariness I feel is simply a ploy to get my focus off of the prize that awaits right across the finish line.
If I desire to hear the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant,” I need to do the job He’s given me to do well. His grace is sufficient, and it really is in my weakness that He is made strong. Maybe I can’t see how I’ll get through the next day or week or month, but He does, and that’s really all that matters.
Blame it on whatever you like! Fact is, my reason is simple enough: I have no interest in any secular music.
