Sony’s Thoughts: Reflecting on the Past Year

Posted in: News — Sony @ 10:15 am

As I was praying about what to write this week, God reminded me that it’s been almost a year since my first post was published on this blog. This has been a year of good times and trials, joys and heartaches and, yet, God continues to be as faithful as He’s ever been. I have to trust that I’m not the same person today that I was a year ago and that I won’t be the same person a year from now. I hope that, each day I live, I am becoming more like Jesus and less like myself.

As I look back over the past year, probably the biggest feeling I have is one of thanksgiving. I am thankful to God who has blessed me with a love for writing. I am thankful to Daniel Mount who has opened up another platform, allowing me to put that love into practice. I am thankful for all of you who read my writings and, therefore, make me feel like God is using them in some way instead of just to clutter up my bookshelf.

When I wrote my first article years ago, I didn’t know why God had given me thoughts in article format but now, between the articles I write for An Encouraging Word and the short thoughts I post here, I feel so blessed to be able to share what God is speaking to me and to hopefully encourage each of you. I look forward to the coming year as we continue to grow closer to Christ together.
