Inspiration.net: An Excellent Resource
If you are a Southern Gospel fan who, like me, lives in an area where major Southern Gospel artists rarely come, you will probably find www.inspiration.net to be a breath of fresh air.
This website, the Internet home of the INSP TV Channel, features on-demand Southern Gospel music programs. Among the highlights I discovered in my wanderings around the website were the 2006 Singing News Fan Awards, various groups’ sets from the 2005 National Quartet Convention, and special Christmas programs featuring the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet, the Collingsworth Family, and other Southern Gospel artists. These videos are high-quality videos; you probably don’t want to try this on dial-up.
I do have one question for anyone who watches the Singing News Fan Awards ceremony. The Perrys had a track malfunction which forced them to repeat part of the song. On the video, however, the song goes off flawlessly. Now it is clear that some of the song, at least must have been from the Fan Awards, because Roger Bennett and Janet Paschal can be seen just off-stage, ready to present the next awards. Where did the cut occur?
