Primitive Quartet celebrates 35 years

Posted in: Singing News, Southern Gospel News — Daniel J. Mount @ 6:46 am

The Primitive Quartet is celebrating their 35th anniversary as a group. Singing News has a story here (only accessible to SN subscribers). However, the YouTube video of the plaque presentation was posted publicly:

Although I notice that Brian Franklin’s YouTube account does have two other videos, I believe this is a first for Singing News–the first time they uploaded a YouTube video to accompany a news story.

I got to see the Primitives at the Calvin Evans Spring Jubilee this year. They are always so consistent in their sound and their spirit, on and off stage. Every time I’ve seen them in concert has been a blessing. Yay–go Primitive Quartet!

A very deserving award for a great group that has remained true to its roots…one never has to question how sincere these guys about the message they send to gospel fans.
