My twin friends, Catherine Olinger and Kathleen Jessie were longtime friends of Dottie Rambo. We met her in 1963 at Soul’s Harbor Church in Bristol, Virginia while attending a revival. Rev. Deon Turner was pastor. We have a special memory of Dottie, Buck and Reba going with us to a drive-in restaurant in Roanoke, Virginia to get something to eat. We had driven to Roanoke to hear the Rambo’s sing. We all went out to the Pastor’s home that afternoon and after we came back to the church, Dottie asked us if we would take them to a drive-in restaurant so they could get them something to eat. We all hopped into my friend (Catherine’s) 1963 Chevrolet and off we went. Catherine still has the 1963 Chevrolet. This is a special memory of a special time with the Rambo’s. We were privileged to see Dottie on March 30th at Liberty Baptist Church (for the final time) in Bristol, Virginia. From 1963 until now, 2008, we held Dottie as our special friend. She is not with her Savior and we will meet her again in Heaven.

Correcting the typing error in the above blog. In the last sentence, I made an error. This is the correction. SHE IS “NOW” WITH HER SAVIOR IN HEAVEN. WE WILL MEET HER AGAIN SOMEDAY. Sorry for the error.

Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!! Dottie Rambs”s family should pay her expenses just like the rest of us do, that’s what family are far. Take a look at her home maybe it should be sold to take care of her funeral. I hope a lot of people ignore your request for money.

Dottie Rambo does not own a big lavish home, Martha Lewis. Just so you know.

And it should not be anyone’s business if people choose to donate or not. If one feels inclined to do so, they should. If not, they should not. Simple as that.

God gave the World a true Angle. Everything she did was not to glorify her self. She always stood behind the Cross so others would see our Lord Jesus and not her. Because of her obedance to the Lord she pened Oil and The Wine. I have seen so many hurts healed when they heard this song. I thank God Dottie not only heard form God but that she listened. We have truly lost a great woman of God whos shoes will never be filled. Dottie was truly a one of a kind. A great and gental Lady.
