Bryan Walker joins Perrys
Libbi Perry Stuffle just sent out an announcement that Troy Peach is leaving the Perrys, and that Bryan Walker will be filling the baritone position (effective October 22, 2010).
Bryan has been a member of Safe Harbor and the Dixie Melody Boys; in pursuits outside of Southern Gospel, he has been a semi-finalist on the American Idol talent competition and a police officer for the city of Sevierville, Tennessee.
Tracy Stuffle stated:
“Troy feels that his work with the Perrys is done, so we want to offer our appreciation for all of the hard work and effort that he gave to our group during the past two and a half years. We love Troy and we wish him nothing but God’s blessings for all of his future plans. At the same time, we’re excited about welcoming Bryan Walker to our group. He’s a great young man and a fine singer. So make sure you say hello to him at a concert soon!”
A review of the Perrys’ new CD, Blue Skies, has already been written and is scheduled to be posted tomorrow. I will leave the observations about Troy Peach and the current lineup untouched—as a parting tribute. For Blue Skies will be receiving a five-star review. Peach is going out on top.
