I am a fan of email newsletters.

With as many websites as I monitor, it’s impractical to check them all on a daily basis. So for some time, I have been looking for (and, behind the scenes, testing) various options to convert this blog’s posts into a daily email newsletter.

After trying several options after the last few years, I finally found one that works the way I want it to work. It’s FeedBurner (yet another part of the world owned by Google…oh, well), and you can click here to try subscribing. It’s free, and the bottom of every email will have a link you can click to unsubscribe if you so desire.

If you faithfully visit the blog every morning, looking to see if there’s something new, this might not be for you. But if you are the sort that visits whenever you can remember, but you can’t remember quite as often as you would like, this might be for you.

If you’re interested in feedback on this - I’ve found a solution that works for me. I finally managed to get the new Yahoo mail’s feed subscription to work (most of the time), so I get an orange icon within an hour or so of your new posts when I check my email. This works for me for the two blogs I read. (One is yours and the other is Spanish.)

So having this site works better for me personally than the email probably would - although I’m sure you’re right that the other option would be better for some people.

Interesting! For anyone who uses Yahoo, that would probably be a great solution.

I visit the site at least once or twice a day, but I’m going to subscribe to see how I like it!! Does that make me a “beta tester” ? ? ?

    I guess so! :)

Thank you very much–it seems to work for me, but if there’s a problem somewhere I’d much rather know sooner than later.

I read more than twenty various blogs using SharpReader.

I still sometimes visit the actual sites where these blogs reside, but it’s nice to have everything on one program where I can read it in a fashion similar to reading email in a program like Outlook. I can ride the delete key heavily or lightly…depending on the number of posts and which blog generated them! :o)

I’d like to say that I LOVE getting the emails so that I only have to come to the website if I want to post a reply. Thanks! It’s great.
