Canaan signs Kim Hopper

Posted in: News — Daniel J. Mount @ 5:14 pm

Canaan announced today that they have signed an exclusive recording agreement with Kim Hopper, soprano for the Hoppers, another Canaan recording artist.

What puzzles me is the timing of the press release. I can’t put my finger on where or when I heard this initially, but I thought it was public knowledge as early as last fall that Kim was going to be doing a solo record on the label. Does anyone else remember that, or is my mind playing tricks on me?

I think it would be great for Kim to make a solo album. It’s been about 5 years since she released her first.I hope they sign some more great acts in the future like Lauren Talley and the Collingsworth Family.I think Kim Hopper’s solo cd will be among the most anticipated recordings of 2008.
