I think what he actually said was that he's often singing the baritone part...much like Glen Payne, the "lead" singer for the Cathedrals. It seems a little silly--playing with semantics, I guess--but I think what he said is that he frequently "sings" baritone, not that he "is" the baritone. I see that Gerald is actually calling himself the lead now, which is different than he said at NQC a year and a half ago! He and Rodney switch off from baritone to lead so often, it's hard to tell who to call which part! Very good article.
