Loren Harris, Greg Cook to join Ricky Atkinson & Compassion
After Scott & Tessa Thomas left Ricky Atkinson & Compassion, Atkinson was once again in search of some great singers. With last night’s announcement that Loren Harris (Wilburns, Perrys) and Greg Cook (Florida Boys) will be joining the group, shall we say that he succeded?

WOW……that’s big news for Ricky. Would you say that makes the group an immediate powerhouse in SG????
Shouldn’t take any time for Loren & Ricky’s vocals to mesh, seeing they were with the Wilburns for several years together. I can’t wait to hear this new lineup!!!

This sounds like it has some real potential. I think it is time to change the name to just “Compassion” though. Ricky is hardly the “name” member anymore.

Hey, Daniel, I haven’t been reading your blog for a WHILE so I hadn’t seen this post, and I was just listening to a SG radio station and I heard Loren’s voice so I looked him up on google and found this post. It’s good to hear that he’s back on the road singing SG music again. At first when I heard him singing, I thought it was an old Perrys song, but then I realized the other voices weren’t familiar to me. Remember the day the Perrys anounced he was leaving? We had fun that night, huh? I wish we could play hangman for hours again like that. Everytime I hear the song “Oh Daniel” I think about that long hangman marathon. LOL!
