Legacy Five: A Little Christmas

Posted in: Southern Gospel News — Daniel J. Mount @ 5:28 am

No, this isn’t a review. I don’t have any inside track with Legacy Five, and I’ll be purchasing my copy of A Little Christmas when you do (NQC). But I was listening to the sound clips Legacy Five posted, and I couldn’t believe my ears on a couple tracks. This clip of Glenn Dustin singing “Do You Hear What I Hear” has him with a much warmer tone than I’ve ever heard him pull off, and on “Welcome to Our World,” Scott Fowler sounds like a younger Steve Green, a comparison I never thought I would make.

Does Legacy Five perhaps have a new vocal coach? Do they have a new producer on their Christmas project?

Whatever the reason, this project officially has me curious enough to purchase a copy as soon as it comes out.

    Thanks for the info Daniel.

I can’t wait to hear it.

Will it be better than the Cathedrals Christmas album of past? That’s what I’d like to know. I hold every Christmas album to that standard… and it’s hard to match.

Probably not…the Cathedrals were THE CATHEDRALS, after all, and their Christmas album was sure pretty good.

But who knows; this one might end up as a top 10!

By the way, what I meant was a top 10 in a list of best Christmas albums.
