Trying out a new theme: No. 1
Part of the reason I switched to the news website format earlier this year was that I didn’t like the neon green look. I moved back to the blog format at the request of a majority of my readers, but I’m still not happy with the green look.
So this week, I’m going to try out several different looks, probably one a day. Here is number 1; how do you like it?

I like this better than the green one! I’m interested in seeing the others.

Not bad Daniel. Better than the website format.
Comment by Dean Adkins (August 13, 2007, 9:39 am)
I don’t like it as well.

I like this one better than the green one. I can’t wait to see the other options.

Anything is better than the green…well almost anything.

I think you’re right DBM…I have no idea why on earth I put it up in the first place.
Comment by Aaron Swain (August 13, 2007, 10:59 am)
Pretty good, but I won’t make a decision till I’ve seen the others…

I wouldn’t if I were you, either–I have three lined up, but I don’t know what else I’ll find by the end of the week!

I like the blue, but not the boxed look. The green had a bubbly feel and it fit your posts IMO because you try and stay away from the negative.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you have lined up!

Sorry, I don’t like it….the green was better IMO.

I guess I’m in the minority, but I preferred the other.

To all who preferred the green: Remember, other choices are coming. And if you still prefer green after seeing them all, good and well. Of course, I’ll have the final say, but if there is a strong consensus that will influence me strongly (as it did to scrap the news website format, which I personally liked).

One advantage of this format: It lets you link directly to comments. I think Doug Harrison at Averyfineline would like that (though I doubt he would ever post a comment here to say that, since getting him to post a comment would take a small miracle).

Although I like the color blue better, I liked the old format better. For me, the lettering was easier to read…

letters are to small..the old format was great…just change the color to something you like…this format looks like a Jr High report paper.
Comment by Paul Martin (August 14, 2007, 9:24 pm)
I don’t really care for this look too much.
Comment by Daniel J. Mount (August 14, 2007, 9:25 pm)
Paul–you didn’t see No. 1. You’re seeing No. 2 right now.
Comment by Paul Martin (August 14, 2007, 9:25 pm)
I liked the news format very much.
Comment by Daniel J. Mount (August 14, 2007, 9:26 pm)
I did, too, and so did Donna, but I think it was just the three of us.
Comment by Paul Martin (August 14, 2007, 9:27 pm)
Yeah, maybe just the three of us…but it was very easy to get to where you wanted to go it.

Yeah, maybe just the three of us…but it was very easy to get to where you wanted to go on it.

Yes, it was. But since most of the users didn’t like it, I sadly scrapped it.
