Ryan Seaton launches solo career
As many suspected, Ryan Seaton’s big announcement this morning was that he is launching a solo career. Phil Boles was the first with the story, and he has enough details and insight that I’ll just link there. Or check out the original announcement on Seaton’s Facebook page.

while I wish him good luck, most guys who move from a quartet to a “solo ministry” do it either as a temp until something better comes up,or they fade away. Takes a real good soloist to make it over the long haul. Just think of the soloists you are aware of, and the ones you never heard of again.
True…not often you get a Steve Green situation—now there’s somebody who really was *born* for solo. But how many quartet guys are like that? I like Ryan quite a bit, but honestly, I think he’s a quartet man. Give it five, ten years. I’ll bet he shows up in another group.
