Name the Column(s)
If I have a great idea for a column, I’ll just name it and start it. But since I don’t have a good idea here, I thought I would open the floor for ideas.
I am planning on launching one or two columns with occasional entries on (a) forgotten songs from Southern Gospel that a group should bring back and (b) songs from other genres (CCM, Praise and Worship etc.) that would work well in ours.
Here’s the hard part: I’m looking for a one or two word column nameāand three at the max.
Ideas, anyone?

For a., I’m thinking the obvious “Bringing It Back” or “Forgotten Gems”
For b., how about “Crossing Over”.
Revisit Songs of the Past
Praise, Southern Gospel Style
You could “borrow” the “yesteryear” title from the Statlers. BTW, I am pretty much a direct opposite of the Statler’s music.
I like them as people and I liked “The Other Side of the Cross” they did on the Cathedrals thing, but I only watched their show when the Oaks or gospel quartets I wanted to hear were on it.
Great starts!
I love “Forgotten gems,” but it might cause confusion with Wes Burke’s Hidden Gems column.
Pieces of Our Past
nice title Meagan, even if 4 words & not 3. it conveys the concept well. How about ‘Over on the Other Side’? for the second [the other half of the title of an Cathedral's standard, also brilliantly sung on the Farewell concert]
Sing It Again
Would “Let the songs go on..” for the forgotten songs work?
Is the “forgotten song” column for old songs (from the 70s and back) that could easily be brought back or for songs from the 1980s to current?
Thanks for all the entries! The entry selected will be revealed shortly.
How about Spirited Songs Remembered? Works for me.
