Andrew King leaves Dixie Melody Boys

Ed O’Neal announced today that Andrew King is leaving the Dixie Melody Boys to continue his education at Texas A&M University. I understand, but he is someone I really hate to see leave the Southern Gospel scene. He is a great vocalist and has a great stage presence. Perhaps someday he will return.

   Me too. He is one of the BEST baritones in the sg industry.
   Who knows, maybe he’ll start a group someday in Texas. Once you’ve been “bit by the singing bug”, it’s hard to quit.

   I hated to see DMB have any break up, Andrew King is a big loss. I heard the DMB a few months back and really enjoyed their presentation, sound and song selection. Andrew is an excellent baritone.
