Thank you for your report. I was never able to get on line so I appriacate all that have writen about the service.

I did call the church today to see if there will be a DVD or at least a aduio recording of the service. I was told they have no plans for that, but were hoping that the family might give permission to rebroadcast the service at a later date, after the church could repair their crashed web site. Please, let us know if there is someplace we can order either of these.

The story about the little girl really got to me. And the way that Phil Hoskins brought the point around to how Roger no longer has to see Jesus through a glass gave me chills. Watching the funeral yesterday was sad but also encouraging. Roger lived his life in such a positive way that it gave (and still gives) people hope. What a great testimony to have!

That was a good report of the funeral. I can't add much more except this.
The pulpit being used was in the shape of a cross. My attention would go to the cross not the casket. Somehow I think Roger would have liked that...pointing people to the cross which he did all his life and even at his own funeral.

I'm so grateful that Debbie and the church were thoughtful enough to give people the opportunity to view the funeral on line. I didn't get to see it personally, but I've heard all about it. From what I heard, Roger would have been happy with it. The funeral is now over, his old body has been laid to rest, and our heart healing is beginning. We all need to continually lift up Roger's family and friends in prayer not just now, but for months to come.
