(Some of) The results are in
First, let me assure you that my post yesterday was not a publicity stunt, or a ploy to get more comments. I was and remain honestly willing to change the general direction of this blog (or adopt a niche) if that’s what a majority of my readers want.
That said, it seems like the consensus (so far) is to keep doing a little bit of everything. So that’s what I will do, at least unless you decide you want something else.

Daniel, this is your blog. Post whatever you wish. I’m assuming that you post what interests you as well as what you consider to be relevant to today’s Southern Gospel fan. It’s working. People have been coming back to this site based on what you write.
One other word of advice: I also faithfully read (and enjoy) Doug Harrison’s blog, but don’t feel like you have to react to every bit of critique he throws your way.

It always surprises me to see what people think when I comment on what another blogger says. When I do comment, it usually signifies nothing more or less than an otherwise slow news day.
By the way, I do ignore most of the passing mentions or links. I only discuss them when they involve something substantive.
