That’s one option, but it’s based on voting that took place months ago, including many votes from people who won’t be there. It would be really something to have live voting from the fans on, say, Thursday or Friday (depending on how voting takes place and how long it takes to tabulate ballots). That way if someone has a really stellar week at NQC, or a major group comes out with the next big find that really blows everyone away, that can be reflected.

Yes, I think they should a quartet with the winners of the favorite tenor, lead, baritone, and bass awards.

They’ve done the All Star quartet thing in the past at NQC. In ‘94, it was Danny Funderburke, Ivan Parker, Squire Parsons, and George Younce. In ‘95, it was Ernie Haase, Dale Shipley, Glen Allred, and ….I’m drawing a blank on the bass. Anyhow, they were backed by an All Star Band and did two songs between the Fan Awards and the rest of the program on Thursday night.

I’ll have to echo Ben on that one. There are all-star quartets singing on the jam sessions and some even on the main programs all the time and every night. Can’t wait for this year!

That was just great!!!!!!! I loved it I had glory bumps when David finished his verse!!!!!!!!!!! Jim Brady is the best baritone in the business hands down IMHO!!!!!!

Brady was good but what about David! He flat out sang the tenor part, Davids a solid singer on pitch everytime! Great quartet, off the cuff is awesome!

WOW! I sure enjoyed that! I wish they had done more than one song!!!! And what a great idea. I agree that the NQC should try this out!
