BSA books Guy Penrod solo concert
Come August, roughly a year after his departure from the Gaither Vocal Band, it looks like Guy Penrod will be on stage once more. The Beckie Simmons Agency has booked a Guy Penrod solo concert. The concert is August 30 in Branson, MO at the Music City Centre. More detail is at their concerts page.
It’s not clear yet whether the Beckie Simmons Agency will be booking all his dates, or whether they just set up this one.

Blame it on whatever you like! Fact is, my reason is simple enough: I have no interest in any secular music.

I checked the concert listings page for this agency and Guy is on the schedule for August 30th. Great news for me since Branson is less than two hours away from me. Thanks for making my day.

Hey folks!
Just to let you know, Guy Penrod WILL be at my theatre, Music City Centre, on August 30th for an 8:00pm gospel concert!
This is his FIRST and ONLY solo date since leaving the Gaither Vocal Band.
We here at Music City Centre are proud and looking forward to working with him on August 30th. Beckie Simmons has been a great help and has worked tirelessly for Southern Gospel Music all of her life and she has done an astounding job at getting things worked out between our theatre and Guy.
Since it being released yesterday (April 2nd) our Box Office phones have been ringing off the hook from people all over the country (Texas, North Carolina, Wyoming to name a few).
These tickets WILL SELL FAST so call our Box Office today and get yours now! 417-339-SHOW (7469).
Every Sunday night beginning May 31st Music City Centre will host the “Sunday Night Gospel Concert Series” and will feature different groups EACH Sunday night.
Ivan Parker, Hoppers, Greater Vision, Triumphant, Les Beasley and the Original Florida Boys, the Downing Street Boys, Gold City, Brian Free and Assurance, the Nelons, N’ Harmony, Jeff and Sheri Easter, Kingsmen, Mark Trammell Trio and so many more.
Kicking off the series on May 31st will be the Isaacs!
All performances will begin at 8:00pm Sunday evenings and doors open at 7:30pm.

Cant keep a good man down! I am thrilled that Guy still involved in SG. He was a household name as a backup singer before Gaither and I still consider him one of the most talented voices to ever come along. His vocal range and the feeling he puts into every song make him one of a kind. Gaither was very blessed that Guy stayed as long as he did making the GVB what it is today. As good as Mike English, he will never replace the smoothness and blend that Guy brought to them. Kudos and much success to Mr. Penrod…..THE SOLOIST!!!!!!!!

I hope Guy Penrod comes back with the Gaithers. He is one of my favorites, and my great grandson, who is 4yrs old has been watching him on the videos in my collection, ane he loves Guy Penrod. My heart aches to know he isn’t with the Gaithers.

Daniel, I received my Gaither HCing magazine today. There was a nice article regarding Marshall Hall. I was pleased w/how it was covered.
There was not as much as using Guy’s name. GVB was referred to as a ‘former group’. I guess w/the obviously friendly coverage of Marsh I wonder why Guy is not, and has bearly been acknowledged since last fall. My question is, do we actually know that he resigned, and that he was not asked to leave? I would really like to know this answer if possible. I don’t mean to keep drudging this up, but I just really need to know that much. I am not asking why he left, just the answer to the above question. There is so much hostility on GC that it makes one wonder… . Thank you for your attention.

Ian, Just google Gaither Community, join up and log onto Guy Penrod Fans. (I’d post a link if I had the faintest clue how to do that.) They are trying to make the site more fun and less controversial I think. It is very nice right now. There are alot of people at Gaither that love Guy and worry about this business that Gaithergirl and Guyfan are talking about. They try to shut us up about it, but guess what, we want to know. We love Guy and support him. Don’t care what the answer is, just want to know. Blessings, Judy

To Guyfan and gaithergirl; I am an 82 year old man and have been to a number of Gaither concerts as well as to individual solo concerts of sgm artists. I think you are trying to uncover a mystery that does not exist. I am sure Guy needs to be careful and protect that precious family and that is all there is to it. By casting suspicion it becomes rumor and is a gossip issue. Guy and his family do not need that from us who love the Lord. There is enough (idile talk) of that in secular circles.Psalm 141:3. Guy has become a member on Gaither Community. Click on Members and his picture appears on the top line. His friends are growing in leaps and bounds. 144 yesterday and 177 this morning. If you ask to be his friend, you will get personal emails from him. So far I’ve gotten 2 in the last 3 days. He, Angie and all the kids are going to Arkansas for the concert.

I attended the concert Sunday night, August 30, in Branson – it was absolutely awesome. Guy Penrod was fantastic his choice of songs were just great. It was great to see that his family was all with him and he and his wife and children sang a couple of songs together what a super night. You difinitely felt the presence of the Lord in the concert Sunday night. Thank you Guy Penrod for blessing each and every one in attendance.

WOW! I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF GUY’S CONCERT IN BRANSON. HIS SONGS WERE FANTASTIC AND HIS STAGE PRESENCE WAS ABSOLUTELY WHAT WE HAVE ALL COME TO EXPECT FROM GUY. AT CONCERTS END HE GRACIOUSLY STOOD AND SIGNED ALBUM COVERS AND HAD HIS PICTURE MADE WITH EVERYONE WHO WANTED ONE. I DROVE 1000 MILES ROUND TRIP TO ATTEND AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN IN A HEART BEAT. WAY TO GO GUY!!!!!!
