Gold City announces Doug Riley Tribute

Earlier this week, Gold City announced that they will be releasing a two-volume Tribute to Doug Riley, current mananger Danny Riley’s brother and son of long-time manager Tim Riley. Doug Riley was the group’s drummer until, shortly before his sudden death in a car accident, Gold City disbanded their Band of Gold and Doug started running the group’s sound.

Gold City will be doing a mixture of classic and new material on the project; hopefully, some of the new material will include unpublished songs from Doug’s pen.

This is a great move on the part of the group—both paying tribute to a faithful member who gave most of his life to the group and releasing a project that may attract fans of past Gold City lineups to give the group a second chance.
