Hoppers Question
Reader Jon Plank emailed me this question:
Hi Daniel,
I was doing some reading on WIkipedia and ran across this line on a page about the Hoppers…
“They appeared at the inauguration ceremony for Ronald Reagan in 1981.”
Have you ever heard of this? Did they perform or just attend? That seems a bit ambiguous. Thought you might know something about it…
Jon Plank
I didn’t know the answer, but I thought I’d post it here in case any of you did.

Also mention of it on Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/The-Hoppers/dp/B000QK5T5K
this site: http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/hoppers/artist.jhtml
and here: http://www.answers.com/topic/the-hoppers
If you google it, several results come up, so I would guess it is for real

I think I heard years ago that they sang “This is My Country, This is My Flag” but not sure what else.

It’s most definitely true. Like Mark said it’s on the internet. Just google it. I’m pretty sure there’s a video on youtube also.

“This is My Country, This is My Flag” was recited by Claude and sung by the rest… But I think that’s all that was done…
