Triumphant Quartet now a certified American Gospel Music artist
Triumphant Quartet is reporting on their website that they are now a certified American Gospel Music artist. This is primarily interesting in noting that insiders are still taking the AGM branding seriously. It wasn’t just a here today gone tomorrow idea, like some suggested when it was announced.

I’m not sure industry insiders are seriously considering it. Some are – but based on what I could see at NQC – most industry insiders were very skeptical.

Very interesting. Triumphant is among my favorite groups so they didn’t need “certification” as far as I’m concerned!

It now includes both Triumphant and the Hoppers. Two class acts in my opinion. It can’t be all that bad. Time will tell.

Let me add one more thing about the whole AGM idea. For me it sounds like a way for Southern Gospel artists to present Southern Gospel music on a larger scale. Is this the way to increase the market for Southern Gospel music and it’s artists. I hope so. Again, only time will tell.

It’s a way for a few people to make a quick buck…
