Dan Keeton Quartet innovates again

The Dan Keeton Quartet is, quite possibly, the most innovative group going in Southern Gospel right now. Dan realizes that a group just getting started has to think outside the box for people to notice them, and he’s making every effort to do just that.

Starting next Friday, they will be launching a page on their website that will have a live video stream from their bus during the day and their concerts in the evenings. The page will also have a live chat area to chat with other Dan Keeton Quartet fans during the live broadcast. For the next week or so, they will be doing testing until the launch.

Kudos to Dan for another innovative idea!

I visited that feature tonight and caught Dan online trying to work things out. The chat feature is neat for things like that, so I got to chat with him a bit while he was on the phone with his mom, then someone else, then his bass singer. He told me his basic plan for the broadcasts, and I think it’s going to be very cool to experience. I hope other groups jump on it.

By the way, when you click the button to join the chat, it will give you a popup window that will ask you for your email and password or a chat name to chat. You only need the email and password if you already have a Stickam account and want to use it.

Neat! I, too, wish other groups would try this! Then we could see a little bit of what it must be like to be on the road.
