Wow! That is incredible! It’s hard to see him looking so clean-cut as he did in his younger days. His long hair and country style has become such a trademark for him.
It’s interesting to hear him use some of the same vocal stylistic things in both versions. Some things just stand the test of time, I suppose.
Guest CD Review: Declaration (Booth Brothers): Another View (9) NewSoGoFan: Where did I learn so much about this album or so much about music? I am Lari Goss…in my dreams! Naomi: Wow!! That is a fantastic review(and I’ve only made my way through the first half!). I am completely blown away by your knowledge of music in general. I don’t think I’ve... NewSoGoFan: Thank you! (filler words to keep Wordpress happy) Greg: This is my favorite southern gospel record in a very long time. Great review! NewSoGoFan: “This type of music” is what I would call “good music.” Much of it is not hard-core SG, but it doesn’t have to be. They’re deliberately thinking...
Dolly Parton to appear at Singing News Fan Awards (3) SG Purist: I am dismayed to hear this, and frankly, more than a little disappointed in the Singing News. Southern Gospel has had this inferiority complex for years – that somehow, if we get... JEB: Most deserving… Always very supportive of SG – her first love. JEB Gladys: That is so nice that they are giving her an award & that she will attend. I think it’s great that Dollywood has always supported southern gospel music. Sure wish I could go to the...
Garner, Rulapaugh announce Freedom (8) Margie Roberts: Hi Josh, I’m so glad about your new group. Hope your group can come to Parkersburg, WV real soom. I have always enjoyed your beautiful voice of yours and wonderful...
New Blogger: Steve Eaton (5) New SoGo Fan: No. Instead we need another blogger who’s just as nice as all of those but brings his own unique flair to the table. Daniel J. Mount: …which is, of course, a great move, since we don’t need another DBM, another me, another Dinana, etc. Steve Eaton: Thanks Daniel, I am hoping to offer something a bit different than everyone else. Daniel J. Mount: He tends to prefer mixed groups, though there are a few all-male groups he’d also count as favorites. New SoGo Fan: What groups does he like? He mentioned future concert reviews.
Wow, that’s pretty amazing! the before and after.
I noticed him using a lot of the same licks on both versions. Buddy Mullins sang that with a little more soul than Guy did, in my opinion.
First he looks like Dwayne Burke. Now he looks like Jesus with gray hair.

Man, oh man! I enjoyed watching those clips, Daniel!!!
Great! I hoped someone would.
I personally thought the older version sounded better, but they are both pretty good.
Yeah What happened? He’s in his mid-40′s, and he already has gray hair!
