Well, The Kingsmen didn't exactly retire their name on their own accord and sans Andrew Ishee, the group stayed together after the name went dormant.

I don't think it's in any way relatable.

Correct. They were The Way or something like that before becoming Perfect Heart.

Actually, this group has been performing under a different name (somewhat like Ray Dean Reese with the Carolina Boys) and just got permission to bring the Perfect Heart name back.

It's a bit confusing to the casual fan for them to say Perfect Heart is being brought back now at the beginning of 2009, while the website schedule implies they've been performing dates as far back as March 2008.

I imagine they just left up dates from Presnell's solo performances when they re-did the website...or not???

Imagine if one of the old members tried to revive the Cathedrals. Imagine what people would think!
"You can never bring back the Cathedrals the way they were!"
"Welcome back!"
I'd be upset and happy at the same time.

Dale Shipley was the lead singer on Light Of The World and Darren was the baritone. I'm pretty sure it was Dale's last CD with the group.

If I'm not mistaken, Perfect Heart's old Christmas project was titled "Light Of The World". I know Mike, Garry, and Darren were three of the vocalists on the project. What I don't remember is if it was recorded when Dale was on lead or when Darren had moved up (with Joesph Smith on baritone).

I don't know what the new tenor sounds like, but I think I hear Garry on the clip. I am at work and can't listen to the clip as loud as I'd like, so I can't really tune into the lead spot. I can tell you that Jimmy sounds NOTHING like Dale Shipley. That isn't a bad thing. Jimmy is a great singer, but a totally different style than Dale.

Anyway, I've known Mike, Tommy, and Jimmy for years and wish them well.

BTW, before getting the rights back to Perfect Heart, they were going by The Way Quartet.
