Various Kentucky newspapers and websites maintain a steady stream of articles relaying the news that the director of the Governor’s mansion got a Grammy nomination.
I have to give it to them–that’s a news hook if I ever saw one. Grammys are highly respected awards in secular music, and people usually think that indicates an exceptionally good recording by an artist at the peak of his career. Of course, they don’t realize how random and unpredictable the Southern Gospel nominations actually are.
