Sony’s Thoughts: God’s Presence is With You

Posted by + on August 5, 2012 in Sony's Devotionals | 2 comments

I have a couple friends who are working today. I feel for those who have to work seven days a week but I’m grateful that God’s presence is not limited to church buildings. He walks with us as we rise up, as we go about our day, and as we lie down at night. I’m grateful He doesn’t stay home waiting for us to return but He’s willing to go anywhere we go, helping with whatever He’s called us to do.

Work can be tiring, no matter how much you enjoy what you do but Colossians 3:23 tells us, “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men.” Your boss may be inconsiderate, he may not appreciate you but your responsibility is to continue to glorify God in whatever you do. If you are in His will, it’s a sin to complain. If you’re not in His will, you need to seek His face until you know where He wants you and then get there.

If you had the opportunity to worship God with other Believers this morning, praise God for that blessing. If you are one of those who are working today or if you’re ill and unable to gather with others, praise God where you’re at. God does not dwell in buildings; He dwells with each person who is surrendered to Him. If you can’t sing or pray out loud, do so from your heart. He will hear and draw near to you, and your mountains will not seem so tall.

I hope you all have a great week. I will be out of town the next couple weeks and not sure what my internet situation will be but I want you to know that I appreciate each one of you who continue to read my posts. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share with you what God’s laid on my heart. May we all continue to grow closer to Him until the day He calls us Home.
