Yes. I’m sure he has released some good songs to radio as a soloist, but I can’t think of any that would be termed big hits or mega-hits.

Do you mean like how successful he has been as a “soloist”, instead of part of a group?

Well, while I could name song after song he wrote and performed while with the Crabb Family, and I’m sure he’s had radio singles since, I don’t think I can think of any singles that stuck in my mind enough that I still remember their title.

I think NQC tends to look at how successful an artist has been in their current configuration / lineup.

I do remember 06′ concerning Ivan Parker being on the main stage, soloists that I knew were so excited. But, what do you think about Gerald Crabb having his spotlight? I think he’s defintely earned it…

Actually, Janet Paschal had a mainstage slot, too, and I know Kim Hopper had a one-song slot. I’m thinking I saw Mark Bishop, but I can’t recall the setting. (Was he doing a top 10 song in the Fan Awards? Can’t remember.)

Of course, it would be obvious who would get Soloist at the Fan Awards show, because to my knowledge Ivan Parker is the only soloist to perfrom on the main stage! I think it’s bout time to let Gerald Crabb have his spotlight on the main stage!!! I record with Eddie Crook Company and I had an awesome time this year at NQC!!

I think the Taylors were at the Steve Hurst School of Music last year when I went. If that is the same grou, and I’m almost positive it is, then they really were great!
