McRaes Announce New Vocalists

Posted in: Changes — Daniel J. Mount @ 10:09 am

There have been quite a few changes in the top progressive Southern Gospel groups recently. The Crabb Family, the McRaes, and the Mike Bowling Group have all had members come and go within the last few weeks.

When Kelly McRae Free left the McRaes, Annie McRae announced that she would seek new vocalists to make the McRaes a trio. There was some speculation that Annie would join the Mike Bowling Group or one of the groups being formed from the remnants of the Crabb Family, but that speculation ended with this press release:

The McRaes are pleased to announce the addition of Morgann McClanahan from Rowe, Virginia and Amanda Till of Prattville, AL. Annie, Morgann and Amanda made their debut as a trio this past weekend to an overwhelming response.

“I believe that God has sent two of the most talented and anointed individuals to our ministry. From the first time we sang together it just felt right. I prayed for singers that would share my vision for the lost and God answered my prayers. I am so excited about where God is leading the McRaes and what He is doing in each of our lives. It has always been my dream for the McRaes to be a trio, but I didn’t realize until now how much fun it would be singing with a third part,” commented Annie McRae.
