I sometimes have to stop and listen to it for a while before I know which one it is, but I can normally tell them apart.

Daniel, I might get to keep one of my grandma’s record players, instead of trying to find one I can buy, if any of them work. I’m so excited about it.

Brian Free & Lauren Talley???

I’d never noticed, to say the least. I don’t have a lot of Lauren’s music, though, but she’s a fantastic singer. As her uncle says, “That girl can sing!”

If your HS Boys Basket-ball team challenges you and your father to name the group and song, first, before the anouncer does, and you end up naming them even before the vocals start.

*This happened to me, and I beat my dad something terrible. I was only traveling with the guys THAT one game, ’cause my dad was the coach and our teams would get back at seperate times, and it took less waiting time, this way. He thought that one of the songs was Brian Free, but I had to correct him and laugh, ’cause it was Lauren Talley with “Orphans of God”. He always mixes them up.

BTW, that might be an idea … Who are your top 5-10 artists and what percentage are they of your music? My top 3 make up ~34% of mine.

Whoever said that they thought every introduction was by GV even though it turned out to be L5 or the Perrys or MTT had some sort of problem, and it wasn’t the music … I have 1387 SG songs on my iPod right now. 179 are by the Cathedrals; 181 by Greater Vision; 103 by Legacy Five; even 53 by the Perrys. (Who on earth are the rest of them by? I thought my top 3 were a larger proportion than that.)

If I’ve had them very long, I expect to be able to identify who is singing within 5 seconds or at least before the vocals start. A while back I did mistake an instrumental by Roger for an L5 song, until the vocals didn’t happen.
