No Review Today

Posted in: Other — Daniel J. Mount @ 8:00 am

My apologies to everyone who looks forward to this website’s regular Friday CD reviews. This week, I do not have any new CDs to review. Let me use this opportunity to remind any groups reading this website of our CD Review Policy.

I do want to make note of an article in the Nashville Scene on Mary Tom Speer Reid of the Speer family. It is an interesting look at one of the best pianists in Southern Gospel.

An email is on its way to the Monument Quartet’s Marshall Pugh inquiring about the status of the press release which was (but is no longer) on the Singing News website.

I will be out for most of the day. See you all tomorrow!

I’ll miss having a review from you — it is Friday, after all!! But I’ll be out of touch for most of the day, too, so maybe it won’t be too bad. David Bruce Murray gave a 5 star review for Valor, if anyone’s interested. . . .

If I’m not mistaken Mary Tom might have played some, but it was her sister Rosa Nell that was considered one of the premier southern gospel pianists.
